Bankole ‘Banky W’ Wellington has lost his second attempt to represent Eti-Osa federal constituency of Lagos at the House of Representatives after losing in the Saturday, February 25, 2023, election to Labour Party candidate Thaddeus Attah.
The music star who ran on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party lost to Attah who polled 24,075 votes, while incumbent APC lawmaker Babajide Obanikoro polled 16,901 votes.
This is coming as the Labour Party records sweeping win in the presidential election in Lagos from results so far announced by INEC as of 8 am on Monday, February 27, 2023
Peter Obi of the LP has polled 449,088 votes while Bola Tinubu of the APC trails him with 416,431 votes.
